SMELLS LIKE COCONUT--SHOULD BLOOM THIS SPRING!! You are browsing on a maxillaria known as the "Coconut Orchid" because of its dark red flowers that have a very strong and sweet coconut fragrance. This is a remembrance of Hawaii for tourist who come to the nursery and purchase one of these. This plant is quite attractive even without flowers because of its thick grassy arched foliage. Does best in a south/east or west windowsill and like to be kept semi-moist. These plants are at least 4-5 years old and very well established. Another fantastic collector's item!!
