This group of orchids were created by cross breeding orchids of the genera Ascocentrum, Arachnis and Vanda and make ideal beginner orchids as they are very forgiving. Some species of Mokara orchids are incredibly hardy and quick growing (grows like a weed). When they do start to produce flowers they bloom multiple times a year. Mokara orchids are often kept as garden or landscaping plants in warmer and tropical climates. This is because mature plants can acclimate well to full sun. Flowers can last up to 6 weeks in bloom, and are about 2-3" inches in diameter. This particular clone will bloom in a vibrant orange with dark freckles.
